SCOPE: Teambuilding | Dragon Boat Racing Techniques | Traveling Team

• Location: BSU/OPC at Diamond Point Park on Lake Bemidji
• Time: Tuesdays 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Cost: Membership Fee of $40/person

Group training sessions available by appointment on weekends and evenings (except Tuesdays).

• Cost: Fee $125 must have 16 paddlers

Now with TWO practice dragon boats. Bring your own life jacket. Paddles and steersperson provided.

SECOND PLACE WINNERS!

The Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival and the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival have established a trade of teams to compete in each other’s festivals. A team from Superior and one from Bemidji attend each other’s festival as a representation of the entire festival. The Bemidji team’s make-up consists of over half-a-dozen dragon boat teams from our festival, making it a true camaraderie of paddlers from our city.

In the 2016 Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival, the First City Dragon Boat Club won the Business Challenge Class with a time of 2:02.69

They also placed 2nd in the Gold Finals with a time of 2:01.37… the first place team in the Gold Finals had a time of 2:01.21 (they won by 16/100’s of a second)!!!
